OS4 Lan party at AmiWest 2019

Hi All,

I'm thinking about putting together a lan gaming party at Amiwest 2019. I think we would have a wide spectrum of systems, Sam440's to X5000's. Maybe 10 or 20 system in total.

I'm thinking teeworld. Anyone have another suggestion? Something quick to learn and not too twitchy for the old folks :)

Anyone want to write us a new game?

Cheers,
Bill "tekmage" Borsari.

Who needs a LAN to have a massive multiplayer orgy?! Some time ago I prepared something for exactly that kind of party use. We only need many USB joypads or joysticks (4-way digital, two buttons required, game supports up to 10 simultan players, two players can use the keyboard of course) and therefore a decent USB hub. A rather fat TV or a beamer would be best. And lots of booze, naturally

I would propose Wings Battlefields and Dynamite... also the oldies Quake, Doom, Descent Freespace.

I am down, but not that game.

@tekmage

Teeworlds looks good. I have never played it, though.

Dude, love it. Might just want to set that up during the show so people can check it out!

@Lio

Have you gotten Descent Freespace to work on OS 4.1? I had trouble with it.

@mritter0

You should download it and give it a go.

@ALL

Be great if someone wrote an Amiga version of http://www.gamespy.com/ so we could play the few multiplayer we have :)

No worries:

@tekmage
One cool thing with this game is that only one machine is required to satisfy up to ten players (should be an X1000 or X5000 with *classic* Warp3D though; a sam460ex can handle it too but I found USB to be much more stable on my X5000 at least). So you can have both: a bomber-crowd and a LAN session with sth. that better suits Mark
The other great thing is: it's super easy to learn, even...

@TJ
... if you're real drunk

My ex university friends and I meet up here every once in a while since many years for such Atomic Bomberman sessions. We played it back then during studies and are addicted still. But because the original game doesn't work well on modern PCs and because it doesn't support so many local players I coded this clone back in 2011 (and recently ported that Windows clone to our systems).
It's really pure fun

Any chance you could update teeworld? Looks like the latest release was in April of this year.
