Icon dragging
Just can't stay away

I would like to know why in OS4.1, Workbench icons are hard to drag with Sys:Utilities/clock iconified? I noticed in OS4.0, DirOpus done this when iconified.

@Snuffy

I think you found a bug.

That is quite a trick because you cannot iconify the Clock.

You must mean in digital mode as I was able to reproduce the problem only when the Clock was in digital mode.

Oh, really? Is "Clock" to blame for this problem?
I wrote about this bug in the OS4.1 Bugs thread.

I had no idea it was connected to Clock, I will
try as soon as I'm back on the micro A1c.

Hi,

no problem here... tried digital with seconds display and date-swapping. Icons drag well...

The clock only shows the problem, I can reproduce it with the Transmission GUI open on the WB. It seems to be a compositing issue as I can turn that feature off & I can drag icons again.

Look, only one leg, count em, one!

Hi @ssolie
Yes digital mode. Sorry I missed saying that. Also, this problem occured in OS4.0 when I iconified DirOpus while using the theme Chrome-Bolts or DarkOS. No other themes, even the Hyperion themes, did not react. Hoolywood and TVPaint themes are the only themes that react with the digital clock iconified. Is this a 'tasking' problem for icons somewhere?

There's some discussion here

Workbench is the source of the problem and a fix will be available in the next update. A workaround is to avoid shaped title bars or disable compositing.

You mean "clickable text column headres in Prefs/Workbench/Text mode/Options.
Thanks!

No, I mean what I stated and nothing more. I don't know what you are talking about.

Hey guys,

it's xmas-time!

I think, the "shaped titles" was interpreted as "titles of textview windows, that have a 3D-Button-Shape", though probably "titles of WB windows, that have rounded corner etc." were ment....

Mario
