I just didn't have the time yet to check why OWB replaces space chars with %20 in file: URLs now.I guess you meant "slash chars".
Anyway, thanks for the work you've done on this.

A little off topic... How do I get Simple Mail to open URLs in OWB? Nothing happens when I click links in emails. I'm using OS4.1.2 and the version of Simple Mail that comes on the OS CD, URL prefs is set to defaults. Also tried installing OpenURL, as I read in the Simple Mail docs that this was required, but links still don't open?

@Daniel
For OpenURL to work you might need to do some configuration. Launch the pref program go to the browser tab, if OWB entry exists check its checkbox (if not already, and uncheck all the other) and verify path is correct (correct it if not), then save.
Launch a shell type
C : OpenURL http : //www.amigans.net
and see what happens, if OWB launches and display the page then OpenURL.library is correctly configured, your problems comes from SimpleMail, if not keep modifying OpenURL preferences until it works, then try SimpleMail.
Back to a quiet home... At last

@joerg I posted more info about the problem on "local file". Seems it works only on my system partition that uses SFS. The rest of my partitions uses JFX and it wont work loading html file from them. Doesnt have to be the filesystem but thats the only hint i have.

I guess you meant "slash chars". No, spaces. For example "Open local file ..." works for files in the RAM Disk if you use "RAM:" in the ASL requester, but not if you use "Ram Disk:".

I did notice that in Google Calendar I still can not add a background image to my calendar. All that apears is a dialog box in the center of the screen and nothing in it. If I hit the esc key then the whole OWB tab closes and if that is the only tab open then OWB quits. Is this a bug or am I missing something??

Thanks for the update, it is snappier as some have already noticed
Something I noticed since 3.27 is that
http://www.ign.com doesn't work properly anymore, maybe IGN changed something, although there is no actual change noticeable to the end user, whatever you see there, was there 3 months ago too. It worked fine (with all those shifting menues and all) before.

@joerg There's a problem with Google News. Last time it was me not having the Cyberbit font installed, but this is different now. On 3.27 (and I still have it installed elsewhere), those left-to-right and right-to-left HTML tags don't take up a white space, but on 3.28, they do. Check the "x minutes ago" sections between the two OWB versions. Edit: Thanks for the middle-click scrolling! Edit2: I PM'd you a screenshot link. For those trying to reproduce it, you need both the MS core fonts and Cyberbit installed. Edit3: Just been told you don't need the core fonts installed to see it.

@abalaban
Thanks for advice, had removed OpenURL thinking it may be conflicting with the URL handler in OS4.1, however downloaded again and works fine now. Downloaded from Aminet this time, version on Aminet is much newer than the one I previously downloaded from OS4 depot.
http://aminet.net/package/comm/www/OpenURL-7.6 Seems a bit odd that SimpleMail doesn't use OS4.1's built-in URL handler, especially as it is distributed on the OS4.1 CD.

Came across this when looking for OpenURL...
http://aminet.net/package/comm/www/OpenWinURL ...gives Windows internet shortcuts an icon and open them in OWB via OpenURL, works well.

file:///Caches:Stories/ShowBiz/index.html" (no spaces). It's a bookmark to a set of html files that I've been writing over the last six months or so and used to work until 3.27.
I get the DOS requester:
It's probably related to the "spaces" problem but easily reproducible. Would you like me to issue a formal bug report?
cheers tony
