Thanks to Steve Camber now we can enjoy a new version of Kick Off 2 for classic Amiga called Kick Off 2 Competition Version, I remember that this improved release of Kick Off 2 is a fruit of a laborious reverse engineering job's and considering all this factors the final result it seem great. This version is adopted in a several world-wide championship and it has already entered in the heart of many Kick Off's fans ! You can download it at: http://www.camber.demon.co.uk/KO2CV/For further information and or suggest about bugs or new feature you can also visit: http://www.ko-gathering.com/phpbb2/

@Mikey_C Quote: I am awaiting the release of OS4 for classic in the hope that it will boost the number of attendees. Now given that Christmas is just around the corner, then how people will be paying off Xmas right up till Feb, I reckon march/april next year is probably a good time for everyone.
I take it you'll re-vitalise this thread or put up a new one, then, at the relevant time?

@TetiSoft Quote: Assignments pointing to files are still working in OS4. The error message comes from the Path command which does not allow to add files to the path list (which would not make sense). Why do I need to use the path command? Why does the assign command not work without it? Why did my previos assign not work? Why did I get an error message when double-clicking on a project icon? The only way to get the double-clicking to work, with the same result as previous OS versions, was to add a path command, and remove the file from the end of the assign. If an assign is (under OS4) not automatically added to the path, how is that an improvement? The whole point of an assign is that AmigaDOS is aware of the assignment. Regardless, of whether the assign command was developed for floppies, its main use is by programs adding an assign to user-startup when they are installed, to make the OS aware of where they are located. If that now doesn't work, without using a second (path) command it seems a backward step IMO. I am not trying to be a pain. I am just trying to understand why such a change has been made. If it hasn't been changed, what is the correct syntax of the assign command, that will correct my error messsage without requiring the use of the path command.

@spotUP
I use Tunenet generally listening internet radios, unfortunally sometimes the IP address of a station change so the saved playlist it's no more valid, I tried to manually change the playlist putting the www address instead the IP one and it seems working well. So is it possible for the internet radio stations to put in the playlists the www address instead the IP?
Thanks, Paolo

Hi @Mikey_C
I had to install SDK, Perl, and ABCshell to use FrozenBubble!
'SH' is short for ABCshell

Help
I re-installed my OS4 partition from scratch Now everytime I try to run Frozen Bubble, I get a requester say SH: Unknown command
I think its something to do with Perl, however, I can't remember exactly, I still have a backup of my old OS4 partition, so I am wondering what files, if any, I am missing? I must have them on the old OS4 backup, so, could I copy it back? looking at the user-startup, I can't find any assings in the old version that would give me a clue.
Help please
Thanks

Happy birthday! I guess and hope that this site will be around for many years still! Depressing to see the amount of users using it though ... makes it feel tiny.

@Swoop Quote: I can't help but think that this is a backward step in AmigaDOS though.
Previously (3.1, 3.5, 3.9, etc) the following worked:- Assign TurboCalc: Work2:TurboCal/Turbocalc
Assignments pointing to files are still working in OS4. The error message comes from the Path command which does not allow to add files to the path list (which would not make sense).

@K-L
I contacted Don Adam / Wanted Team and asked for his opinion on making a Symphonie plugin for Deliplayer, that also can be used in UADE. This is his reply:
"For EP2 exist Symphonie Pro (v3.1) eagleplayer already. Present I don't want to make other version of this player, because this is almost impossible, I think, without sources/docs and a lot of times and very good motivation. EP2 version of Symphonie player has 131848 bytes of length and is perhaps the biggest (onefile) Amiga replay. Then better Symphonie maniacs use EP2 for hearing Symphonie mods.
Pa ? Don Adan"
So, as I suspected, this will be one tough replayer to make. :/
