To run Quake III on amiga one you need to install it on pc and patch it then you have to copy the exe file of quake from pc to amiga and then on the amiga installa the pak files...

Sorry i don't remember which version you have to download to patch it..

I am able to download OS 4.0 Final after many months of wait thanks to Hans-Jorg Frieden.

My question is about to install OS 4.0 together with an existing OS 4.0 update#4 installation.

How can I manage to boot and run both systems?

Is it a difficult or easy task?

I know that some stuff runs better on update#4 than on OS 4.0 Fianl.

Sound Idea, I am not a developer but as an end user I would still wish for an auto-update feature in OS4.
In fact I would like to see incorporated to include all programs keeping the option to choose to install of course.

I think AmiUpdate should be part of OS4 installation, an update tool integrated into the system let developers make sure users are notified about their software updates, and users use lastest version and if it is included by default into the system, a lot of developers will use it. It will create an easier way to keep our system up to date, an easir OS for users, and better feebback for developers (they know users use last version and not a bugged old one).

Can we make a poll about it?

Totally Disagree, Amiga Inc were not interested in releasing OS4. They were more interested in thier Amiga anywhere.

If it had not been for Alan Redhouse and Ben Hermans piling the pressure on Amiga inc, We wouldn't have even got OS4.

I remember speaking to Fleecy, Alan and Ben about all this back at the great WOASE show of 2002.

Hi,

Using the AHI Music Unit (which TuneNet has used since day 1) will block other apps that try to use AHI Device Mode. The upcoming release now gives you the option to use either Device or Music unit. So if you use the Device mode other apps can play at the same time.

Yes, but not SHARED AHI, tunenet does not allow other audio sources to access AHI at the same time.
