@Elwood

Both of these were demos of the latest internal beta versions.

I am NOT a beta-tester for either of these programs, but from what I have read:
*The main new feature in Tunenet is its skinnable interface.
*The main new feature in DVPlayer is the ability to play wmv files.

I too am eagerly awaiting the public release of both of these fine programs!

Hi all,

Is it me or new versions of TuneNet and DVplayer were announced at Pianeta Amiga?
Where are they? Any hints about the features?

@AmiKit

I was looking at the aminet.net/recent list and saw "AmiKit_140.jpg". Boing!!! The question: -- is the Cherry Blossom Girl -- Jeri Ryan ? It sure looks like her! I watch "Shark" on CBS TV all the time. She recently lost her job as District Attorney of L.A. Do you remember her as the Borg "7 of 9" on Voyager ? It's an interesting coincidence that the new series -- Bionic Woman -- stars Michelle Ryan. If I get my A1 running ever again, that would a nice background to have!!!!
Congrats on the new AmiKit release!

Hi @Swoop

I haven't heard from Edgar Schwan in while on X11 'anything'. I have fell out the X11 loop since the A1 broke after the July Upgrade.

@AmiGame

Never mind... I finally rewrote it in MFC (VS 2005) and it's working like a charm...

I encountered other problems like with CListCtrl sorting: solved by rewriting my own function, borrowing also the function of someone else to display a little arrow (bitmap) on the Header line.
I also rewrote a CColorLabel Custom class derived from CStatic using part on the code of the CReadOnlyEdit which was based on CEdit...

The last remaining problem to solve is with HotKey/Shortcuts... But I can live with it as the most important ones are working fine anyway !

Hi all and @Raziel

Me too! The Amiga.org announcement was dated February 2004:
http://www.amiga.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=3197
>>Now is the ideal time to get your Classic Amiga ready for OS4.

I got the OS4.PreRelease for the A1 in July. I was unaware that the classic was even being worked on. My main concern is upgrading my a1200 to run OS4.0 Are there any reputable vendors support this. The only I believe in is AmigaKit!!

@LiveForIt and ssolie
Yes, if Hyperion subcontracted the work, then they got their reputation burned by a third party vendor. That's not good for business.

How much is it going to cost to run on Classic?

Well... I delete anyone with a gmail addy from my websites as a matter of routine.

The only google things I use are the main search page (google.co.uk or com.au) and google earth.

oops.. I recently installed picasa on my daughters i386 ubuntu machine.

Still I suppose it's a good thing the numpties are made aware if this....

But are we all Numpties here ?

hmmm.... /me goes off to ponder

Are we nearly there yet ?

Wrong, that's the case with PDP endian (0x1234 big endian = 0x3412 PDP endian), but little endian is completely reversed (0x1234 big endian = 0x4321 little endian).
