It was directly against God. That way he gets to insult everyone of all faiths with one hammer.
I, too, like the way Yahoo handled the article. I could see the tongue-in-cheek way they did it, and had to smile at that. However, as I noted earlier, I had other sources that went into more detail then Yahoo did.
No matter what he said to Yahoo, he is not simply trying to make a point. Such a thing could easily have been done without insulting 90% of the populace in the process (get together with a knowing accomplice and sue them for spilling water on you, etc). He, however, went out of his way to add insult to point.

Hi all,
With the imminant release of OS4 for the Classic Amiga series, it has become quite apparent that there is a demand of PPC Cards for Both A4000/A3000's and the A1200.
I know there are a few people who have hoarded these cards in the past and probably still have them.
So please, if your PPC equipped Amiga is no longer being used, or you have a PPC card lying in a corner without a home, consider selling it on. There is a demand for these.
You can help in increasing the OS4 userbase, plus being a bit richer in the process.
IF YOU'RE NOT USING IT. SELL IT!

This effects how many programs you can run at the same time, or how well 3D game will run, but don?t get me wrong memory speed is important, not just the CPU, I think many under estimate the need for fast memory access. Even so I think Sam440 will be able to run full screen DivX, videos, play your MP3?s and surf the web, and all that, but for 3D video rendering or some like that, or Classic OS3.x emulation you need all the CPU you can throw at it.

@jahc and all... My first post was not about religion... It was more about the "funny" Court Case... Especially the last comment: Quote: Neither God nor his/her spokespersons could be contacted for comment. In fact there were a (tiny) more serious court case in Italy a few years ago IIRC... I don't remember if it was directly against God or against the church as "representant" of God... Jerry

I don't think it will be over so quickly. I also don't think that, having seen the 2001 contract, Hyperion has to wait for the court case to be over to release OS4 for new hardware.

What would happen if Bill McEwen doesn't show up to trial?
Bolton Peck has a judgement against him but can't collect.
Rich Woods said that he has to be served some paper(s) to force him to pay up. Let's contact Bolton and get him to appear at the next trial, as Bill was there that day in May....

My microA1 does not have altivec, it has an 800MHz G3, so a Sam440 would not be a downgrade for me. For AmigaOne-XE owners it would be, sure.

Not sure there would be any benefit in that, because if Hyperion are arguing that they now own OS4 for perpetuity, and then go under to be re-born, do the rights then get passed to them? or do they lose it? where does AOS4 stand then? I think its better if they do not go under. IMHO

Yes, processor is slower, but Amiga OS NEWER needed fast processors :), only some coding/decoding... which I will run on my... PC :P Core2Duo 2.66 (I know, writing this on Amiga forum is BAD). But it's true. The same like my laptop is iBook G4 :).
Ok. Coming back to topic.
For me Sam440 looks pretty good, Radeon 9250 is VERY nice (I have one on one of my pc's...), DDR266... slow but again here a speed don't do soooo much like in PC.
USB2.0 this IS important when you want copy 4Gb of pictures in 20 min... (around! ;) )
Than SATA, very cheap HDD, CDRW...
I really don't need more for my Ami :), expect Office :P or even Open Office!...
I realy would like to buy it... Sam440 come to me ;)

Correct. However, reading from $0 isn't legal either, but OS3.x doesn't enforce that; and it probably won't crash the machine when it happens either, that'll happen when someone writes using that pointer. OS3.x also doesn't protect code from being overwritten, or prevent unallocated memory blocks from being read/written. None of these are officially allowed, but with OS 3.x, it's possible. Amiga OS 4.0 will catch these errors and stop the application before it does any damage. Whilst it may be annoying for someone who just wants old apps to work, it makes the overall system more stable; and it helps developers like me find and eliminate bugs. Hans

I did read the linked article. I also had other sources on the story. The man is a state legislator in Nebraska, who claims to be an atheist. Sooooo, why DOESN'T Hyperion Entertainment simply pull an Amiga Inc.???? Start another "Ltd" company, one where there is limited liabilty on the part of the owners, transfer the "contract" to the new company (for a dollar), keep, say $.99 in a bank account, and deposit money into it, as and when needed to pay the bills? THEN start selling AOS4.x with the Sam440 EP, then Amiga Inc. could sue their asses off, and get the .99!!! IF they win in court!  Alternative: Buy Eyetech! Relabel the 440EP the AmigaOne. How could Amiga Inc. prove it ISN'T, they don't even own ONE AmigaOne! (I still strongly believe that Hyperion will win in court, as Amiga Inc. owes Hyperion CONSIDERABLY MORE than $25,000 and does not acknowledge it nor will pay. Finally Amiga Inc. will be no more.....)
