Re: Overheating amiga?
Just popping in
Just popping in

I have tried. I know the 68040 is the toastiest of the entire 680x0 series, especially at 40MHz.

There is still a problem with the display going bad, though it takes longer. Several of the motherboard chips seem to get very hot - so much it burns to touch them sometimes.

Could using double pal be overdriving them?

A "Return" button when watching pics from the gallery
or maybe returning to the comments page of that pic when
clicking on the "full screen" pic again?

If someone wants to host a ftp only mirror then I'd be happy to set that up once I get back to the main server.

There was a ftp mirror for os4depot some time back, but the guy hosting it didn't want to continue doing so. So at the moment it's not possible to download using ftp.

Thanks for the info, orgin. That's too bad as some things like comparing files are easier to do using an ftp client.

It looks like it can write log file, run snoopdos ppc, to check where it tries to write it.

@FuZion

That's a misbehaviour i also encountered at the beginning

Look in the UBoot menu for "Initial Boot delay", this
must not be "0", rather put the value to "1" or higher,
you'll have to wait that time, but it will go straight
through then.

If the value is "0" UBoot will always load in the menu,
dunno why...

I already reported that on the AOS4 ml far back, but it
seems to have missed the betatesters, maybe it's already
fixed, though?

You will need a VNC client on your PC, to connect to you Amiga,

For some reason, it's still automatically going into the UBoot preferences meaning I have to exit those before it boots, but I'l have a look at that tomorrow.

Thanks for the help everyone, FuZion.

Set all delays to 1, if you have less then one it will enter the UBOOT menu.

Because E-UAE do not support real partitions, so that kind of beats the point of even trying.

I can connect to ftp.os4depotnet with AmigaTradeCenter, but then can't login either anonymously or with login/PW. What do I need to do to use ATC with OS4Depot?
