@plu
You mentioned AmigaInput: can you play Quake(1,2 or 3) with, say, a USB joypad?

@Chris It's the secret global conspiracy to turn the UK into a member of our family of metrics. Now that you know you can't turn back. Don't resist...it won't hurt... ...much... oh and say goodbye to your ? aswell... Maha...muahaha...muahahahhahahahhahaa

The United Kingdon locale is reporting "metric" for the measuring system!
Can OS4 no longer cope with our weird system of using both metric and imperial measurements depending on the context?
Whoever changed this must own up or face a day in the stocks!

FREESPACE -crashes.I'll see what can be done, since it is supposed to work.
WIPEOUT2097 -after the prefs screen, it crashes.Same as Freespace, I think something can be done.
WipeOut2097 can't work since it's a WarpOS program, AFAIK there is no m68k version of it, and if you are using the WarpOS version of FreeSpace, not sure if there is a m68k or OS4 version of it, it's of course the same. No matter how much people ruin their AmigaOS4 final systems that way, and even if some seem to have some partial success: The versions of powerpc.library includeed in Update3 and Update4 do not work on AmigaOS4 final. If you didn't install AmigaOS4 final on an empty partition, or copied everything from your Update4 partition to the OS4 final partition after installing it on an empty partition, make sure to delete LIBS:powerpc.library and LIBS:Warp3DPPC.library - unless you want to have an unstable system.

@Swoop I love DrawStudio, I guess it's simplistic views belie it's true ablilities. I used this program to design (fairly simplistic) my airconditioning needs for my house, when I could not do anything similar on my PEECEEs.
I truly welcome it's return, a nice facelift to use AISS would be fantastic.
ace Unfortunatly the developers left the Amiga market, and as far as I understand it they have re-used some of their code in other software, which means they can't release DrawStudio into the public domain.

Actually there has been a patch available for Hollywood since last june, which should be installed to get the 2.0 working on AmigaOS4 Final. (I did see, that it does not help in all the problems) Also I'd like to ask you (and others reading this conversation) to join the Hollywood specific group at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/airsoft_hollywood/Esa Haapaniemi Oulu/Finland

Most of the StormC package is unstable on OS4. You can use Prefs/Screen to set up a screen that the specified program should open on...

@tldaley Quote: Thanks for the reply, yeah things are very fast. I just dont like being able to drag windows off screen. If you don't want to be able to drag windows offscreen at all you can disable offscreen dragging completely by unchecking a checkbox on the same prefs page.

I wonder if anyone has managed to get the stormscreen manager working under OS4 Final.
I have Amigawriter installed and it works running on workbench, but if I want to run it on it'e own screen I have to put stormscreenmanager in wbstartup. at which point I get a guru, sorry Grim Reaper.
I have tried blacklisting it but that doesn't seem to have any effect, and I still get a visit from the grim reaper.

Drawstudio 2.0 works brilliantly under OS4 Final. I have just set it up on Amidock, and the only thing I had to do was delete the old prefs file, and save the prefs once the program had loaded. I had it running on update#3, but it displayed wrong under update#4, and I couldn't use my old projects. But, under OS4Final it run's OK. I have only had about 15mins playing with it, but it seems to be perfeectly alright. One project I had used .dr2d files of some kanji, and I printed them out as a bitmap, and also exported them as postscript to my printer, and both printed correctly. The postscript export was really fast as well. Another well done to the OS4 Team

If you own a radeon gfx card, disable the 3dfxvoodoo.chip driver and if you own a voodoo gfx card, disable the atiradeon.chip, in kicklayout file of course !

Freespace:I'm betting there's something wrong with install.I'll do it again, ASAP.
As for "Foundation(Director's Cut, in my case)", the truth is sad. The CD I bought long ago has become blank(!!!).No access is allowed, so,basically, I no longer have that game. :(((((
It was a cool one, though...

@BrandonLee Sorry forgot to mention FREESPACE, it work brilliantly and FAST. Sorry you probably didn't need to hear that! Try a reinstall.
Also did I mention Foundation Gold? Works perfectly, although I got no sound if I left the cd in, take it out and all is well, probably down to whichever CR/DVDROM I have hooked to aux.
