Operating system (OS) support for the dual-core device includes Linux, QNX Neutrino and VxWorks. Other standard OSs are running in the lab, and support will be announced when validation is complete.

I wonder if Amiga OS is one of the "other" Os's running in the lab?

Here are the specs for the ATX motherboard.

P.A. Semi has partnered with Wind River so that its Workbench On-Chip Debugging Edition
IDE supports multicore debug on the PA6T-1682M device. Wind River provides WorkBench OCD
support for both Linux- and VxWorks-based platforms, Wind River ICE, and Wind River Probe.

I think Amiga inc. Should have a chat with "Wind River" over there use of the trademark "Workbench". (page 2 of pdf)

Move to Free For All. This has nothing to do with Amiga at this time.

Hi T_Power,

It's about time!!!!!

They are supposed to be working on a 16 core CPU too!!!!

Well, well, well,.... I can see a Panda super MB with 2 of these on it!!!

It would be MUCH easier to get AOS4.1 or 2 to work on this than a Cell CPU.

That would be 8 GHz of P O W E R and say 2 Gigs of ram per core, W O W!!!!!!!!

Throw in a little Altivec action and Amiga delivers!! Baby!

There is NO GAME not capable to run on that monster! Server class!!

AmigaNG! AOS4.x! The game is beginning!

Support Amiga Fantasy cases!!!
How to program: 1. Start with lots and lots of 0's. 10. Add 1's, liberally.

American History has shown them to have Bob Hope, Johnny Cash and Stevie Wonder.

The Amiga scene has no Hope, No Cash and no bloody wonder

excellent comparison LMAO

@thread

in a perfect world we would be able to run os4 on any hardware we desired (or thought worthy) unfortunitly this isnt a perfect world and really we are relying on people that are running on dedication and not really driven by the dollar,
so what im trying to say is if we like a board and ya got the cash why not get intouch with hyperion? im sure 1 board will make the differnce between 1 devices compatabiltity and multiple devices running os4.. if ya get what i mean

just my random 2 cents

by the way cell anyone? isnt that ppc based and already at 8 cores? havent read up on it much since ps3 announced it, but i know the newer ones sound pretty cool for servers and high end number crunches (COOL CGI!!!!!)

anyway

lu lu lu got some apples

LOL! The message is funny, sad and partially true at the same time.

Seriously: Is there really no hope left? I don't think so. Why are we still here? Amiga survivors!
Would we still use our AmigaOnes and develop when there is no hope left? I for one wouldn't give up!

Never give up, never surrender!

Computing can still be 'fun, even if there is no new Amiga'one! (rhymez)

Getting back to the PASemi, I think it is only a nice dream at the current point. But we are allowed to dream. That's how we can survive these troubled times!

If you have AOS4.0 you can use MPlayer to play the ".m4a" file.

might be a nice board if they can keep the quality up and the price down.
