Quake3 finally runs on my Amiga One!!!

After some moving and copying files from the Quake3 CDs I have and putting all in its right place I can say after a long time that Quake3 finally runs on my Amiga One!!!

The quickfix from Hyperion go very well but Update 1 is incredible as I like it very much and hours ago I finally get the first gamepad working with AmigaInput. This was for me and before and after on my OS4 experience.

Well all goes pretty well but on MAME exactly with Spy Hunter and Rampage (both Midway Arcade games) the sound stutters more than the desirable and the quality is so noisy.I have the AHI prefs set at maximum quality on all Units that is 32 channels and 48000 Khz and in MAME I generally use 44100 or 48000 Khz to play the roms
These settings I setted yesterday after the Update 1 installation don't know if is Update 1 or the AHI settings,but the sound of my ESI JULI is in the mayority of
the times I have tested very clean and perfect.That's another reason to celebrate because before I suffer more than a bit sometimes.

About Quake3 does it have sound support? And does it havejoystick support? I saw the intro sequence without sound and I think that the game itself maybe don't play sound.But I want to know it so I am waiting for your answers.

Quake 3 works on my Sam Flex since a year.It is no problem to get it work.It had also worked under OS4.1
But under OS4.1.1 it is a little bit faster

Yes, Quake 3 has very good sound support. If you don't hear sound then check AHI, etc.

I don't have sound at all in Quake3 and when I try to play it it doesn't get into the game.It stops after this.

How do you configure and play this mammoth kind of game?

I hope you have set your monitortooltype to INTERRUPT=yes not INTERRUPTS=yes, because all 3D applications then are faster.

I downloaded too ioquake3,quake2 and OpenArena!!!

I switched back to INTERRUPTS=YES because I suspect it make my AmigaOne crash!
