Game Competition for July/August 2023- Breakhack !

Welcome to a new contest here on Amigans.net!

For the month of July & August as we started late in July, we'll be enjoying a Rogue like game called Breakhack.

The game is available for free on OS4Depot. It was ported by walkero recently. If you enjoy the game please consider sending walkero a donation.

I just killed a fairy. Wasn't entirely sure I was meant to kill a fairy but it dropped a lot of platinum so what can you do?

well we started late this month so to be fair to this great Rogue game we should play this for August too so you don't miss in on the fun

I belatedly had a go at playing Breakhack. However, when I start the game the menu covers the screen. Apparently, Esc toggles it off an on, but for me it does nothing, and I am stuck with it covering the screen.

that's for sure but remember that every single time you play the dungeon is randomly created so just keep trying and hope you run into alot of rich fairies in your quest

Have you tried to change the renderer in the SDL prefs? There might be an incompatibility with the renderer you are using.

wow this is truly a Rogue game cause I've tried a many many time and finally this rainy afternoon I came out (mind you dead) with a decent amount of loot..sheesh almost as frustrating as the original Rogue by Epyx in 85 & that's why I love it

Well, tried again and was doing ok, about 700g or so and then not only did I buy some items that left me with <300g but I also met some bloke that wiped me out so that was the end of that. I may get time to have another go but I doubt it.

I know August is a busy time with many people taking vacations etc. but if you can take a dungeon dive or two today or tomorrow have a fun! I know I'll try yet again to beat my high score
