Duke3dw + AmigaOS4 4.1 FE = No sound?

I've had an A1222 plus machine for a week and a half now. It has been about 12 years since I last had an OS4 machine. So I'm still in the training stage.

I have to ask for help on one thing: I can't get the Duke Nukem 3D port Duke3dw (https://os4depot.net/?function=showfile&file=game/fps/duke3dw.lha) to work with sound on my machine. I seem to remember finding an old post on here about someone else not getting this port to work with audio after he installed aos4.1 FE update 2 or something. So I don't think it's the a1222 that isn't compatible. I have the original Duke Nukem atomic editon cd and have copied the files I need from this copy. I have gotten ports of this game to work fine on my classic amiga with the files from this cd

Is there anyone with aos4.1 FE with the lastest update who wants to test and give it a try to see if they can get it to work with sound?

Ah, i must have read your comment on os4depot and not a post here on amigans about no sound...

I also have no sound when playing Duke3DW, in the comments section there is talk of using the “timidity”https://os4depot.net/?function=showfil ... e=audio/play/timidity.lha tool to get sound, but I have no idea how to use it.

Could someone explain exactly what to do?

I understand that it was only a suggestion due to the lack of sound. But as I understand it, Timidity is used for a few games, to make midi music work on the Amiga. But Duke3dw has no sound effects either

I recently tested out the new Blood port to OS4.1, NBlood. Everything seemed perfect with music and sound. There is a new youtube video where a person shows off this port as well as a Duke Nukem port named JFDuke3D witch runs perfect on AOS4.1. Doesn't look like JFDuke3D for AOS4.1 has been published yet or I can't find it anywhere. I'm not that familiar with all the people in the scene yet...

It seems that Smarkusg has compiled the OS4 version.
