Troubles with Foundation

Hi Guys,

I can install Foundation Gold edition fine on my OS4.1 system, however I cant play the game without setting up and saving the preferences using the included program.

The problem is its so badly rendered in OS4.1 that I cant actual save any changes I make (the save button is not visible).

Has anyone got a work around/solution or even been able to get Foundation to run under OS4?

DO THE NEXT :

1. Open Sys:Prefs from workbench.
2. run "GUI" Prefs program.
3. From the pull down menu select "Edit" the "Restore to Defaults" and select the use button.
4. now run the FoundationPrefs program as normal and select your desired settings.
5. Select the now visible "save" button to save your settings.
6. You can now run the "Foundation" program as normal by clicking on its icon.

Additional note: last time I installed Foundation gold from the CD the executable flag was not set on trhe foundation executable so I also had to set that manually before running Foundation for the first time.

Add this to the above list...

3.1. from the menu use saveas as save the file as sys:prefs/presets/foundation.gui

4.1. run screens prefs and choose insert open screen, pick the foundation screen from the list if it's there. click the gui tab and tick use custom setting file and choose the file you saved from gui prefs.

Doing it this way you get run the foundation prefs at any time without having to change anything first.
