Has anyone noted that OS4.1 ignores the settings in Locale to a certain extent? Selecting english -be it british or "english" english- as the main language in the languages tab of the locale preferences it is simply ignored if a non-english language is in the list too.
I tried out most combinations, english as the first and then irish, or french or whatever, every software and workbench too, is using the second or third language (if I've chosen e.g. english-british_ISO-8859-15 as 1st and english as 2nd) for its localisation.
Yes, the catalog files for workbench are installed and to make sure I copied them over again from the CD.
I also made a fresh install for that purpose being sure I selected..english..
Isn't it supposed to chose the other languages only if the english catalog files are missing?
Any clue? Small improvement for OS 4.1.x?
Examples here:

english-british_ISO-8859-15

german
italian
Workbench is french. Every software is french or irish or german (sequentially if I move it's catalog files)

P.S. I might already have pointed to this some time back but I can't find any trace of it either here as on AW
