Have you tired some games yet? Shogo, after installing powerpc.library from upd4 starts and seems to work in software mode. MiniGL crash. I've not tried Freespace, anyway i would to play 3D version, finally. Quake 3 works ok. I have horrible audio but probably is AmigaOneXE releted problem with 3D accelerated games. Quake2?

Quake2?There might be a version of Shogo some day... Might be, I don't know for sure.
For Freespace, I do have a native 3D version but it needs more testing and brushing up.
Quake 3, I wonder why you have flaky audio, it works here without any problem.
Quake 2, I have a native MiniGL renderer too, but like Freespace it needs more testing.
Seriously, if you do want to contact me write me a mail. You're more likely to get a reply then.

Every 3D accellerated apps/game give me distorted audio. AFAIK it was a A1XE problem.
Please consider a native OS4 final version of Shogo... i bought it years ago to support Hyperion
I would like to play it finally

Heretic 2 seems to run fine with the MiniGL rendered. With the software rendered I have that 'effect', the big/small endian thing where vertical strips are flipped so it looks funky. FuZion.

@Rogue How come you are still considering a native version of Shogo when you recently ruled out Heretic 2 as being too old. Out of curiosty, which games will we see in the future. Wasn't Sin completed for WarpOS years ago and what are we likely to see come out of the Inca Gold deal. Is work going on with the "inspiring" secret title. Am I right in thinking that the Worms Armageddon licence is not valid for OS4, does that mean Hyperion lost money on that one. I look forward to seeing/playing what you do next.

You might want to try setting locking mode to automatic for quake-games...

I guess it will require time too but i can always loan an a1 of mine out to a good Amiga programmer with lots of time for such a task (ie porting hyperion games to os4).

Heretic II doesn't start here in my micro.. if i double click the icon a get no errors but the program doesn't start..
If i open a shell i get message " wizard.library " missing.. i copy it on my sys: partition and the gui appear.. i start the game but it doesn' t starts anyway..
So i don't understand what i am missing..
@Rogue
Please make a native port of your games.. it is sad that we cannot enjoy these games or we have to play them in software render..

@nubechecorre I'm sure that a few years ago Hyperion said they would make OS4 versions of their older titles available for an extra charge to existing owners. I wonder how many people would need to pay x ?/?/$ to make an OS4 executable for Heretic 2 viable. Maybe they could do a pre-order like Titan have with Papyrus Office.

OS4_Wizard.library v 51.3 Scroll to the bottom to see it shine
It won?t do any good when it comes to the game itself, cause
wizard.lib only draws the GUI, but hey, one can?t ever be sure.

The games works (if they worked for you on os4 pre4) so if they dont work now then its a user fault (copying libs/mixing stuff etc).. I suggest thoose who have problems with this, reinstall the game, it will save you alot of time

@ToAKs Yepp...Heretic2 worked ok with pre4... And I have reinstalled the game 2 times after final... I'm missing something here, but I can't find what! I've checked all my libs and settings but can't find what i've done wrong... And yepp...checked with snoopdos to... It's not a big issue for me, but it would be nice to just try the game again... :) Actually...I've played through the game 4-5 times, on a Pc... :)

@Jacken Probably a stupid question, but have you installed the update? I think that it's needed.
