ZIP disk write protected ?!
Quite a regular

Hi All,
I used to use ZIP disk (internal, IDE, formatted as MSD0, crossdosfilesystem) to transfer files between computers) and so far it was working ok.

Now after OS4 final installation (fresh on spare partition), I copied over the zic: dosdriver from storage to devs: and adjsuted the device (a1ide.device) and unit(1).

But my ZIP is declared as "Write Protected" and so far I did not find how to change that.
This disk is shown as read/write on my A1200.

Another annoying thing is that the ZIP icon is shown as a floppy and not as zipdisk as found in envarc/sys.

I tried to jsut drag n drop the icon from one to the others but it did not work

@Lio

Same problem whit the cw.device when I try to format an none standard disk format like 880k, I?m starting to believe there is problem whit CrossDOS and not my driver!

I think it might have some thing to do whit tracksizes, I have looked for memory read/write problems in cw.device but can?t find any, if memory corruption it most be in CorssDOS I think, works perfectly whit Amiga Fast Filesystem.
