OWB installation questions ... [solved]

In the past I have downloaded some (but not all) newer versions of OWB as they became available. Usually I keep an older version and try out the newer one for a few days, then blow away the older version once I'm satisfied with the new one.

I've been using OWB version 1.18 for a long time. Recently I tried version 1.21 and today I tried version 1.24. I still have version 1.18 installed just in case the newer ones don't work out. Version 1.24 seems to be a keeper, so I have deleted version 1.21.

This method seems to work ok, but I was wondering if I should do some further cleanup.

Right now I have libgcc.so sitting in my OWBv1.18 directory, and my OWBv.1.24 directory, and my SObjs directory.

Will this cause me any grief or should I get rid of some copies of this file?

BTW, I left all the files that came with version 1.24 in my OWBv1.24 directory.

Is there anything I should add that may be missing between version 1.18 and version 1.24. ?

Shared Objects are first searched in the program directory, and next in SOBJS:. Just like Libraries.

You should keep .sos that are of use for more than one program in SOBJS:.

The .sos that are only for OWB are named libowb#?.so.
