Excuse my ignorance... but what is a Gold Master, please?

It means the master disc has been finalised. In other words, the duplicators have there master copy, and it's nowjust a matterof time until user CDs hit the streets.

"Gold Master" is actually a common term in software publishing. It refers to a CD-R (as opposed to a silver production CD) because in the past, the material that CD-R's were made of was golden, and so the CD-R was very visibly different from the "real" thing.
The term someone stuck, and you will often see "software XXX has gone gold".
Seriously, if you do want to contact me write me a mail. You're more likely to get a reply then.
Is Python updated in OS4.1? (IIRC 2.4 was released with OS4 Final)
Also, is the Python OS4 SDK still being worked on?
I don't have a machine to work on at the moment (for obvious reasons) but that would be my most wanted feature... of course just having Python itself with some Amiga related libraries would be good enough.
Don't trust previous definitions, they are all false, the truth is that "GoldMaster" is the one that educated the famous GoldFinger before the not less famous James Bond's episode !
The "real" SDK is probably more important hehe, but of course well done for completing 4.1... I probably can't begin to understand how fustrating that must be - I have enough trouble trying to focus on my (miniscule in comparison) projects, without other people trying to decide the future.
Since there's still no JXFS entry in Wikipedia, IMHO a stub entry might be added now, while we wait for some more detailed info. While we are at it, the SFS entry should be updated, too, to add a reference to SFS2.
