Just got a mail from Alinea that they shipped OS4.1 and 512mb to me!

Now, when I receive the package I will get started right away, but I want everything to work, so I was hoping some of you could if this would work.

1. Install ram, test with os4

2. Work: is already SFS, but I want Workbench: to be as well

3. Backup Workbench:

4. Use Mediatoolbox to change to SFS - something I should be aware of here?

5. Quick format Workbench:

6. Boot from OS4.1 disc

7. Install "clean"

8. Enjoy?

MicroA1 - 800Mhz G3, 512MB
A1200 - 50Mhz 030, 16MB
CD32

Ensure blocksize is set to 512 (mandatory).
Also, you may want to raise buffers to 1000.

I vaguely recall something about your boot partition having to be FFS formatted - was this just for the pre-release or is it still the case?

No, also SFS can be used (it has been so for a looong while now). SFS2 and JFXS can not, though, because the SLB does not support them yet.
