I have finished the german translation and i am finishing now a quickguide for AMC.
This one doesn't replace the official manual but helps to get used to the concept.

You can grab a WIP Version of the guide at www.aresone.de

It weights 3MB (many images)

Regards,
Pascal

We plan to release the AmigaOS4 Version next week.

It will be available via www.ares-shop.de
And we will provide a demo-version of AMC.

Oh yeah! Thanks again for the AmigaOS icons. I hope we get a very creative community.

Hello everyone,
since the release of AMC is now imminent, I invite everyone to visit the new official website at this link.
Also I invite all those interested in the project to register on the official forum at this link.

With these two resources I hope to give good support to the software and create a community of users that can support each other and exchange tips, especially regarding the development of new plugins and themes.

Finally I hope to receive feedback, positive or negative, that allows me to further improve AMC and make it unique in its kind.

Be entertained!

You say "we" so you're one of the developers.
Could you explain the design decision of showing the browse list in such a small hole in the background cloud? It looks really awkward to find anything through that small hole. No overviewability.

Well the images and videos where made inside virtualbox with only 1024x768. The hole expanses if you have a higher resolution, so you will see more.

The RC1 has now different themes and layouts for 4:3 and 16:9.

The whole concept is fine if you use a remote.
Up/down right=enter left=back

So you will always reach what you are looking for, because it is not import if you scroll up or down to reach a entries. (360?)

But i have to admit that Fabio did some changes for the final version....

But this is also just a start and we are listening ; )

This is doubly good news. This thread had me looking for DVB-S2 USB devices with available developer docs or Linux drivers. I found a few (e.g., QBox S2), and a list of Linux supported devices here. I'm glad to hear that there are people working on this.

I don't know what VSync is, but I can tell you that MPlayer is being updated to work more completely with AMC so that might include support for VSync.
