I keep getting notifications of an update to emulation.library. I tell it to install and do the softreboot, but it never shows up in libs. Is it supposed to install somewhere else? I've run Amiupdate 4 times now and everytime it says I need this file.
What's up with this?

No idea. I have checked the database entry and all is good.
What does the log say?

I had the same problem. The emulation.library has something to do with Picasso96 and should sit in SYS:Libs/Picasso96 . Creating this drawer and manually moving/installing the emulation.library and picasso96.library into it solved the issue... Don't know why this is needed. Thought that picasso96 is integrated in graphics.library since AOS 4.1 FE?
If you are using AmigaOS 4.1 FE then you should not install the emulation.library update. If it keeps coming up in AmiUpdate just add it to the ignore list.
I have since overhauled the public database and set quite a few of the entries to "update existing only" for those files which have since been deprecated by 4.1 FE.
This should hopefully cure any more errors such as this. If not, let me know.

happens to me as well ! it looks like it appears if you have an existing AOS4.1 upd6 on your HD ! the emulation.library is meant for AOS4.1 upd6 where the picasso96 folder resides in libs: with the emulation.library in it !
