Notifications and images (datatypes support?)

Hi there,

just a quick question

does Notifications/Ringhio support datatypes in images?

I know it does with sound files (it says so in the corresponding readme),
but i'm not sure about images (as there is no information in the readme).

And if yes, what could be the reason that svg images won' t show up (even with a "supported" datatype installed?)

I have
datatypes.library 54.15 (09.01.2022)
54.15.0+ppc-os4 Copyright (c) 2020-2022 AmigaKit Ltd
and
drawing.datatype 53.9 (29.10.2022)
svg.datatype 53.6 (08.07.2021)
installed.

but whatever i do (using original size, resized to 32x32 etc.) the image won't show up in a Notification requester (but fine in Multiview/Multiviewer and Odyssey)

help please?

I suspect it only supports picture class objects, not drawing class objects. It probably copies the data out rather than embedding the object.

dang it...and here i thought i found an easy way to use svg in notifications...

btw, that is the current reason i'm converting svgs to png (even if i lose information)

Hmm, I wonder if I can subclass drawing.image off of picture.image to make it compatible with this sort of thing, without losing the scaling? (don't think I have the time or motivation to try this at the moment, but I can give access to the repo if anybody want to give it a try)

No, I raised it on the bugtracker but I'm not sure the SVGTiny area gets looked at much!
