I can't recall, at the mo, I know I have one installed, dunno if its the same one as yours or not, I honestly can't remember - it was some time ago. The Hyperion website is down at the mo, so I can't check there, I'll look through my Downloads drawer this weekend and see if its in there, if it is, i'll PM you for contact details.

No cause is lost if there is but one fool left to fight for it.
I think you need to unpack the .pak files manually, I don?t remember the details I?m shore there is a guide some where describing this.
And you need the OS4 exe file of Quake2, the upgrade can be downloaded after registering Quake2 at Hyperion, the upgrade should then be available in download area, you might need to contact H.J.F. or T.F. to get game registered.

I have unpacked all the .pak files. I have got the original Hyperion Q2 cd. Maybe I need the upgrade too...as you say.
I have unpacked all the .pak files. Why? I have got the original Hyperion Q2 cd. I don't know what you mean? I bought a PC verson CD; downloaded the driver from Hyperion; installed and registered it. Everythings works fine. The Q2 engine generates a lot of heat, so turn the cooler fan up to max to play.
I play Urban Terror with ioquake3. I've experimented with stack size since I've had frequent freezes with it, until recently when I set the stack really large (10 MB? 30 MB?). Is this a trodden path?
I can confirm there is no problem with quake2 or quake 3 after you have installed the hyperion quick fix from there site. Quake 3 works flawlessly on my system. The "green bug" was a massive problem for a while even I had it before the "the quick fix" was out.

Not used any expansions with ioQuake3, but my icon only has a stack of 65536 bytes (64KB!). It appears to use a stack cookie to ensure it actually gets at least 2000000 bytes (2MB).
Perhaps expansions increase stack usage, but more than 4-8MB would seem a bit silly IMHO!
P.S. The enormous stack size may be a red-herring. It may simply need Update 1 for OS4.1.
mmmm, someone above you states it works flawlessly on his sam.
Then why is Quake 3 so slow on my sam??
Cheers
