WarpSNES on OS 4.1

Hi!

Several people now reported to me about WarpSNES not working on OS 4.1. I now know what the problem is. You just have to delete the config file (which stores some stuff about Screenmodes which did change during the OS update) and WarpSNES works again! My Amiga is not yet working
again (will fix that one soon), but I had some people test it out for me, and in fact it did work!

Despite this, a new version is "in the planning", updating WarpSNES to the latest SNES9x source code (WarpSNES is a port of a Linux-SNES-Emulator called SNES9x, back then
I used the different name as there were 3 independent SNES9x ports which was - confusing).

Well, I don't try the actual version yet (I receive my Flex just a week ago) but looking forward to try your next release

Just tried and works great even with Amigainput, although trying to configure x,y axis was a bit cumbersome.

Yes, due to the SNES using digital joysticks and most joysticks for USB being analog. Basically what WarpSNES does is a digital joystick emulation using some threshold values

BTW: What file did you delete to make it work? Some guy on AW.net deleted a config file but it still crashed for him, appearently still at the same place. As so many people made it working after deleting the config, I suspect he was doing something wrong...

Yes all I did was to delete the config file. Funny this never worked for me under OS4 but worked immediately under 4.1.

On my system i also rise the stack to 1000000 before loading warpsnes

Hey i have a suggestion for the new version.
Warpnes works on my SAM Flex 800 with 1GB Radeon9250 fine,but only i
disable the composition engine.I have some graphic errors .Can you debug this ?

Same problem here, some stange green glitches, for the next release I suggest to add a new option in GUI for saving config, and also important add an overlay support !

Hey how can I use my jopad in warpsnes,in my warpsnes configfile stay only keyboard inside.In controller setup i can only hit keyboard .I can^t change it.Have somebody a warpnes configfile with joypad inside?

Removing the config file did not work this time. I copied Amigainput and it's pref settings from my 4.1 backup and everything works fine again. Looks like AI has some issues with the updated version. Make sure you back your current AI up before copying the older version just in case you need in future.

Works great with XMAME, GNGEO, WARPSNES and soon EUAE (I hope).

Here are more infos

I still using OS4.1.1 and Warpsnes 1.4.3
I can use my gamepad with Amigainput and FPSE .It works fine.
But i can^t use it with Warpsnes

WarpSnes run better than before thanks to the Update 1 but only keyboard seems selectable on the WarpSnes GUI
