I have 2 DVD writers on my Amiga One connected with a Siil0680 IDE card.Sadly one of them since some years ago only permit me to burn DVDs no CDs.It's a NEC drive.
I want to download the new OS4.1 Update 1 of Hyperion and burn it but when I enter on the drive settings the modules to recognize my drives aren't there on the list.
What I have to do make the modules appear again?I have it on the path MakeCD3.2c/modules/SCSI drivers.
On the path MakeCD3.2c/modules I have other 3 modules called Makecdromfs.module,Readwrite.module and Scsisupport.module.
May I try to delete the actual MakeCD installation and install it again?
Or is it something wrong with the two versions of MakeCD I have installed that I have to change to recognize my DVD drives?
Help will be really appreciated.

@MamePPCA1 I hadn't used MakeCD for a long time and couldn't get it to work for the update. Eventually I discovered that the problem was that I had moved my CDROM to a different Unit but the MakeCD prefs were still set for my old setup. Check the Settings/Harware by selecting the Settings menu. Other than that I can't really help since I don't use the program much.
I downloaded OS4.1 update 1 from Hyperion's website and I want to install it.
As I can't at the moment with MakeCD:
Does anybody know how can I burn Update 1 ISO image with Frying Pan or another software?
I have tried to burn a CD32 iso on a CD-RW with FP but after the operation the CD doesn't appear on Workbench.
I have good expectatives about Update 1.
Help me!

OK very helpful your information.I tested with the Akira CD32 ISO but the handicap is that AmiDVD has burned the game at 10x.Very happy that the game has been burned even at this incompatible speed for a CD32 game.
And if I want to burn a CD32 ISO at 2x of speed;is there another solution to burn the CDs excluding MakeCD for the reasons explained?
I have 79 CD32 games to burn and I must give it a solution because these games they run only at 2x on the Amiga CD32.
Any ideas are welcome.

The speed at which the .iso is burnt, has nothing to do with the speed at which the game plays???????

Just use x2 cd's. AmiDVD will burn at the maximum speed of the media. Your CD32, on the other hand, can only read x2 media, therfore use x2 media, and your CD32 will be able to read it.

Is there a trick or something to make my Siil0680 connected drives recognizable by MakeCD?
If someone has the same problem as me tell me how to burn any CD with Siil0680&MakeCD.

reading the MakeCD.guide inside the MakeCD archive, will tell you how to pick the right device
ok lets start!
run MakeCD
open from the menu Settings >Settings
click on the black down arrow close the string "Writing drive"
in the opened window are listed in the "Exec Devices" the available devices
click on the one of your choise and the attached devices "should" be listed in the "Units" section
below in the "Driver" string chose CDR_SCSI3_ATAPI (it should work - don't worry if it is listed as unknown- ... check if the driver suits your DVD/CD device needs)
Click on Use and the Save the Global settings
Good luck

Fantastic to see a 100 CDs pack at 2x of speed still avaliable in the present time.

All you say is valuable, but I did it before and the CDR_SCSI3_ATAPI or any doesn't show on the controllers list.
Why the controllers don't appear on the list?

I tried to find the option to buy the 100 pack of CD-R at 2x but didn't found.
Is there an option to buy these CDs by Internet?
How can I buy it?
