I cannot type the character ' [solved]

Hi, I have had this problem with my system from the beginning since I got my Sam and OS4, I think.

I cannot type the character ' on my system, so every time I have to use it I have to go to some place and copy paste it. More over, I cannot type/use any of the apostrophes either, the rest of the keys seems working.

I use a Swedish keyboard and I have set Swedish as the keyboard type in the input prefs. I have tried with another Swedish keyboard and other languages in the prefs but still no go. Any ideas?

EDIT: Actually, I had this problem since I started to use the KVM-switch, case solved.

Try Alt-?.

You can always temporarily switch to the american keyboard layout by holding down the Alt (or AltGr) key.

Allright I found the problem, it is a "harware problem" and the cause is my KVM-switch is to blame. I have to come up with another solution, but case solved

PS: So actually I had this problem since I started to use the switch, then.

But anyway, why does the keyboard work "normal" on my other computer which is connected to the same switch? Funny thing...
