Dir Me Up

Been using DirMeUp for a few weeks and getting comfortable with it now as I'm an addicted DOpus user on both my miggies and notebook PC.

As the news item thread has quickly disappeared off the main page I decided to start this thread which can be bumped from time to time.

my issues/requests so far: Updated for v1.3

- double click unfortunately works poorly for me on my X1000. I have to slowly click twice for it to be effective. (- fully solved with v2.11)

- video's clicked on with DvPlayer work fine but nothing works with mplayer-altivec at all? (-solved- see post 3)

- how do I setup a text file to go anything other than multivew? (would like them to go to text editor)(- fully solved with v2.11)

- how do I setup a PDF file so it c an be viewed in a PDF viewer after a double click(- fully solved with v2.11)

- also would like to see the AISS icons slightly bigger.(- solved with v1.30)

Did you try changing the double speed settings in Prefs/Input ?

To use mplayer there must be a entry with "vo=cgx_wpa"
in the config file in the conf directory of mplayer.
Then it should work.

tried but with no considerable difference as DirMeUp is still much slower than all other programs

Yep, dbl-click problem is DirMeUp specific. It was badly done in first version, but start to be more or less ok in 1.12, but still not perfect. Sometime i need to press a lot of times just to be able to go inside of directory. I report it to author as well, but as far as i remember glames say it is "ok" for him :)

Strange, for me it's OK since the last release.

Yes, first version had problem with double-click.
But now, no more problem for me, even on NAS volumes.

I'm using right now a new beta test version and i can confirm that the double click problem still .. still also some strange flickering effects browsing the directories .. however Glames know all the problems so at the end i'm sure he will fix all the issue

would be nice if I can open up a PDF directly from DirMeUp with AmiPDF.

(currently it tries to preview as a text file)

I wish some user-defined buttons/actions usability was introduced at some point. A great piece of software nonetheless!

Very happy with the latest v2.11 update as it's solved all my issues and working great!

one small thing I'd like to see is a nice icon (like the main one) that can be seen when you iconify the program on Workbench.
