AmigaDOS File copy problem
Just popping in
Just popping in

See User information
Hi All

I've been trying to copy over music files from my PC to my Amiga 4.1.6 system. If I listen to a .m4a file streaming over Samba from the PC, it plays fine.

However, if I try and copy them over using either COPY or WB, the files seem corrupt in some way - they won't play. It's almost as if AmigaDOS is copying the m4a files over as ASCII instead of binary.

DOpus (from the Extras folder) doesn't copy a working file either, and the file size is slightly smaller than the AmigaDOS copy.

Can anyone suggest anything I can try?

Thanks

Jason

You could try using the copy command and specifying different buffer sizes for the operation as this may be the reason why one corrupts and the other doesn't. Also as a more reliable test for corruption you may want to use md5sum.
