Strange Charsetconvert errors when adding FTP programs to Amidock
Just popping in
Just popping in

See User information
Hi again,

whenever I add a FTP program to AmiDock (e.g. AmiFTP or RNOXfer) I get the following error during bootup (after loadWB and when AmiDock is loading):

CHARSETCONVERT: FROM-Datei 'ram:tmp.txt' mit Länge NULL.
C:Charsetconvert fehlgeschlagen, Rückgabewert 20

Does anybody by chance know what goes wrong here? This does not occur when I add other progs to AmiDock (like AmiArc).

@Reth

IIRC is something of Ringhio/Notification system, when trying to show a notification bubble.

Do you have c:Charsetconvert command?

Yes, I have this Command. But Ringhio shows everything fine otherwise (so normal bubbles). Only when I have one or the other of the FTP programs in AmiDock it shows something like that.

Do you have Ringhio/Notification running/enable?

Do you use for those programs their .catalog (deutsch)? If yes, try to rename/remove them and try again.

Yep, Notifications on Ringhio are enabled and I use the German Catalogs for these programs. Can try to rename them - but when using AOS4 on my real Peg2 or my A4000 or WinUAE such errors do no occur.
