Nomination for January 2009 Featured Donations.

Hello all,

Welcome back to another year of featured donations. This is the bit where you nominate a developer/website/graphic artist/porter/etc, etc.
If you think they are doing a good job in promoting/helping/moving forward the AmigaOS4.x platform/community, then this your chance to give them some financial help/thanks.

The nominees who get the most votes, will be featured on the front page for about a month. Since its a new year, those previously featured can be re-nominated again.

However, I hope that you will consider those that have yet to be nominated, such as Olaf, Stefan and all the rest who do a lot for us and get no recognition.

Thank you for your support and thanks for visiting Amigans.net

(p.s. Please feel free to donate a sheckle or two to Orgin while we debate, poor lad only had a total of 3 donations)

My January nomination:
Thanks to Stefan Robl<stefan@qdev.de> for ScreenBlanker and AmiDock! These are wonderful works of Amiga art! I once asked him about the screenblanker not working because of the switch from VIA ide to Adaptec SII ide. Well guess what, it was nice to see the beautiful blankers again in OS4.1! The 'Spiral Blanker' is my favorite. I have one of those Animated GIF Boing Balls spinning in my AmidDock. This stuff is so cool.

Thanks for the nominations, but I'd prefer if others who weren't featured yet would be first. There are a lot more developers who deserve it, and I got a very large donation recently from the cancelled Sputnik bounty, more than 9% of it.

That's nice to know! I've asked Troels to split my small contribution between you and Chris...

But I don't think that he is done with distributing all the money yet... so there might be more on the way to you

Imho, Edgar and Joerg are the two most crucial developers out there atm.
Browser is very complicated project.
So is maintaining X11 ports (besides porting there's very slick packaging + source maintainance).

BTW: if Edgar won't be the featured one, he's into some serious A1-related hardware problems that probably will cost much more than battery replacement (hint, hint)
