Searches & Expanded Chronological view of forums

I recently did a search on my member name, to find a thread i started, with no success. The question disappeared from the recent list, with no answers.
Is it possible that such unanswered questions disappear altogether?
I then looked if i could find the question browsing back in time, with no success either:
The number of recent forum inputs presented chronologically is somewhat limited. What i was looking for is some numbers on which to click for earlier messages. Did i miss some existing feature?

If the post you want is not listed there, it could either be a bug, or maybe the moderators deleted it for some reason?

your search did spot what i was looking for.
Problem for the site-user is: i did not find tht search possibility from the main page

Logical place would be in the topbar "Search" menu
