[SOLVED] Disk image device 52.60 does not work
Just popping in
Just popping in

See User information
Hello,

i just updated Disk image device via AmiUpdate and rebooted my system. After reboot double clicking an iso file brings a message that the Program 'MountDiskImage' cannot be found. Also DiskImage-Gui does not works anymore after the update, after double clicking it - nothing happens.

I thought maybe an error during updating via AmiUpdate and downloaded the archive directly from os4depot and installed it. Same problems.

System: Sam440ep, OS 4.1 Update 2

Anyone else has this problem?

Thanks

During the update process (or because the author forgot to set it) the executeable bit went to oblivion.

Set it again in Information, save and try again, works here

I can't test the ISO part as i don't have any, but it works fine with .adfs

I got this when updating (with AmiUpdate):

GETENV: object not found

However C:MountDiskImage has a datestamp of 2 minutes ago.

When I double-click on an iso it says "Unable to open your tool MountdiskImage. It doesn't say "not found"

It's because the executable bit isn't set.

Double-clicked on the Sam Update 1 .iso and it mounts it, but on workbench there's no icon. Looks like Disk.info isn't read. There's just the text, and therefore I can't double-click on it.

Trying to refresh the icons via "Update" doesn't work either. (Edit: Doing "cleanup" worked.. Hmm). Setting the executable bit on "DiskImageGUI" makes that work too.

Also, set "E" on "C:DiskImage" too.

Here it doesn't start double clicking on DiskImageGUI

The problem is because I recently changed the command to copy the executable files from the src directory to release directory from AmigaOS copy to UNIX cp. This is convenient when crosscompiling but it appears that cp doesn't preserve the executable flag which is a little inconvenient. As a quick fix for this I've run "protect #? all +rwed" on all the files in the archive and reuploaded it to a500.org, Aminet and OS4Depot.

Thanks. I just managed to find that option on my own though.

After playing some time around i also recognized the missing executable flag, but its good that salass00 has uploaded a fixed archive to avoid the problem generally.

My workbench is in german and i translated it into english, in german it means it cannot be found and in english unable to open. Maybe Update 3 has synchronized locales........ ;)

thanks all
