Hello.
I've finally managed to release Filer, (3 years too late, wow getting kids sure slows you down!)
I simply decided to reverse the search code back to as it was before I started to move it into the main window and release it all with the few bug fixes that has been made since the last release.
This will be the last (ever) version released by me.
If anyone wants to continue working on the Filer you can find the source in the openamiga svn. Just contact me there to be added to the project.

@Raziel I just don't have the time, and I'd rather have someone with time taking it over than people waiting 3 more years for a new version.

What about giving it to the OS4 team? Ask Steven Solie.

@Elwood The whole point about openamiga is that everything is available to Hyperion as per default.

@orgin
Cool, thanks. At least code is here now, someone may start to works on.
Can we grab filer's source without registering on openamiga ? I.e. something like just public svn read access, so anyone can just do:

@Kas1e: I've got a registration and access to the SVN on OpenAmiga for a different project... You need to sign up for a username/password at least and ask for the extended svn to be setup on a per-project basis. not a public svn because there may be "sensitive" materials put into the svn afaik. I haven't seen any such however if sources there may become part of AOS4 and require to be retained as "trade secret" material without nominal public access Ask a lawyer for clarification however maybe I misunderstand?

Ask a lawyer for clarification)) yes ! you also need NDA if you want to see sources :)
Just if svn can be public (without registering) for just read-only access (as it with all opensource projects) that can be a bit easy for everyone just to check sources what mean more luck to find out new devs for.

What a pity - Filer is my prefered file manager. Even as it is very sad, I can understand Orgins desition to halt development to have more time for his Family.

@Origin I see you have fixed the sorting bug. That will make a big difference to me and I will be using Filer much more as a result. Many thanks.

If the sorting bug is fixed, that will be awesome! Then no need for DOpus 5/Magellan IMHO :)
