@cygnusEd
And a webcam program like gnome meeting ???
A program to use a webcam when chatting with AmiCygnix. (Maybe gnome meeting isn't the appropriate program, I don't know linux, sorry).
BTW, I know nothing about Amicygnix and maybe not CHAT program inside.... Sorry to have no knowledge on this domain actually

How about a screen casting, or screen recording, program.
(That could eventually be ported to OS4.
)

I don't know gnome meeting, but the chat software "Pidgin" is in development. Will have a look at what gnome meeting requires and what it is able to do.

@cygnusEd Inkscape? Audacity? Scribus? Have no idea about the feasability of any of these, but they sure would be handy to me.

What do you mean with screen casting in relation to AmiCygnix? Initially, yes. More as a proof of concept, ie can it be done on OS4?
If it worked, then maybe, somebody could take up the gauntlet and write/port such a program to OS4 native.
I don't know even if such programs exist on linux. I have seen some YouTube videos of Mac OS X doing it, and thought what a cool way to a) promote OS4, b) provide tutorials, and c) give a demonstration, or problem solving for any program.

http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Hans_Boehm/gc/ ). No chance.
But Sodipodi is on the way. Also a nice vector image processor
.
Audacity - why not. Needs wxWidgets, which is available for AmiCygnix, allthough it is not bugfree yet.
Scribus needs QT, right? QT is miles away, but I will try to compile it some day.

@cygnusEd Sodipodi would be a great start. I wonder if we could persuade someone to replicate the functionality and API for Boehm's library. Yeah, Scribus is QT based, sadly. Another thought: kompozer? GTK2, I believe? btw, great job Edgar.

@yoodoo2 kompozer: most probably "K"=kde, hence QT.

@emeck
I have xCHM here:
But it has still some bugs, especially caused by my wxWidgets port. If there is enough interrest, I can finish the port (Will need some time though).

I hope that you can port Firefox 3.x on X11 soon, almost just for the emotion to see it in action on AmigaOS

will search soon what look like pidgin....
Have seen some pigdin screenshots and apparently this program don't support chatting also with webcams (but not sure, just see screenshots).

@cygnusEd
My wish is a software like MSNmessenger, because chatting with webcams enabled
Or Pigdin with an additionnal software to connect two persons, who chat with pigdin, with a webcam (for seing when chatting).
BTW, I don't know if webcams software for connected peoples exist on LInux. I could say lots of mistake about amicygnix and linux because lack of knowledge about Linux....

Hi @cygnusEd A fantastic forum and AmiCygnIX is awesome! Anything about my old wish -- SciTE - Scintilla Text Editor. I think this would be the best tool for SDLBasic. Probably no one uses SDLBasic huh? I recently updated my "DealorNoDeal" game. A bit laborious without a SDLBasic syntax checker.
