codebench - ppc only ? ( & #codebench )

Is the codebench for ppc only or is there a 680x0 version ?

Also is the #codebench discontinued ?

Yes, PPC only and as far as I know, no 68K version is planned. The development is rather slow but the program is certainly not discontinued: a major update was released not long ago. (Sadly, I had to return to an older version because the program's text editor has become unbearably slow on my Sam440ep-Flex.)

"Camilla Boemann" is working on editor for 68k Amiga computers, looks modern and ok to use, I have not tried it.

Ask to Join the "Amiga Software Development" group on FB, if like to beta test.

(It is open source so it be ported to AmigaOS4, if anyone is interested, however she put asm parts in there so it will not compile out of the box)

it look like more than an editor, a C++ IDE I would say a bit like QTCreator. She build a framework QT like but not source compatible.

Yes it custom GUI, the design is not unlike the deign of GUI I'm using on LiveForIt-Music.

Rigo frequently makes Codebench updates around the time of
the DevCon at AmiWest each Fall. The most recent was just
a few months ago and you can download off his website here:

While Rigo keeps working on it behind the scenes, he just
hasn't been releasing more frequent updates.

I'd be surprised if he wanted to downgrade from OS4 to OS3
with Codebench. That would mean a ton of redundant work!

For OS3 development, you could always look for Lattice or
any of the 68K dev packages that were done over the years.

...or buy an OS4 machine. ;D
