I have now decided I will return to Amiga community by purchasing a SAM 460 lite system from Acube hopefully later this week. For me it will be a hobby machine as I think it will be powerful enough for things that I want to do (edit images in Photogenics or Art Effect, surfing web, IRC, playing Freespace etc.) Really miss my Amiga and OS4, wanna get straight back into it

@Sicky Welcome back! @amigakit Nice to know, although as it does not have a 3D-capable graphics card (optional extra), it's not exactly the same as ACube are offering. Of course yours has 1GB of RAM (versus 0.5GB), and maybe other differences, so buyers need to do a careful comparison of the pros & cons. (It is of course nice to know you are based in Wales, not Italy, so delivery should be a bit quicker & probably safer too.)

Hi AmigaKit,We do not charge Paypal fees on top. I've noticed that..Love it! Here's the think, I can't decide about the SAM. My A1-XE turned eight years old this month. I think a new machine would be nice, but I'm sceptical about the new stuff. I'm not hearing enough about the SAM 460. My "Customer Confidence" is a bit low. Sorry about that...

@Snuffy
If your XE is working just fine, then no need for a Sam right now.
However, later on, when the new 3D subsystem will be delivered, the XE will be hampered by a slow bus and poor choices when it comes to GFX cards.
For example, antique here is using a RadeonHD 4890 with his 460EX, try that with your XE
Of course as I already said, for now it's just food for "later thoughts" :)
