Is anyone using the VGA output on the Sam 440ep via the internal 16-pin header (J25)? What kind of cable/adaptor should I buy to connect to the header?

Hello,

I'm using that. It's a standard VGA output that you could found on old GFX cards (period with DVI and VGA output). just plug and working fine with my old CRT monitor.

You could also buy one on Acube site (verry old information and not checked recently).

Thanks, finally I know what to look for! AmigaKit stocks it so I'll get it from there.

Because there is a video display limit on Sam's digital output. The VGA output can go higher than the digital's 1600x1200 so I want to try it with my large-resolution 24" LCD monitor. Also, it'll give me better connectivity: last week I had to take my Sam to a friend for a rescue operation, and we spent quite some time trying to hook the machine to his monitor. If I had had a VGA output, we would've been setup in seconds.
