Would I be able to buy and use an 8GB or 16GB SDHC card
and use that for an initial OS bootstrap device?

Curious as to what limitations it has

(EDIT: Additional material below)

@nbache
Initial usage for use as a primary system, later being
only for bootstrap, I will need room for Development work.

I am considering having both AmigaOS + Linux Installed.

I would be looking towards porting a distribution of Linux
that I am already familiar with called SourceMage

@sinan
I was discussing an SD card and not SSD device for use,
Do you know the difference?

I think it's rated to support SDHC as well as plain SD, which would supposedly mean it can handle whichever size SDHC comes in. But why would you want such big cards if you will use it as a bootstrap device? Even with lots of fonts and themes etc., you'd only need way less than a 512Mb card for your boot volume.

Best regards,

Niels

I recently pruchased a 40GB SATA2 SSD for my Sam460.

Since AmigaOS4 doesn't waste huge diskspace, this entry level SSD are great for Amiga.

It's silent, it's fast.
