wipEout Rewrite Enhanced Fantômas Edition AmigaOS 4.1

Hey folks,

HunuPPC just dropped wipEout Rewrite Enhanced Fantômas Edition AmigaOS 4.1 onto OS4Depot.

It's fantastic. I played it at AmiWest, and now I'm back home again. It's worth glancing at the documents before jumping in so it's easy to pick up.

It has nothing to do with AmiWest (it you were refering to this, speaking of missing things).

Huno had planned to release this new version on the 27th of october independantly of AmiWest :)

Please, think about giving a little donation (even the lowest you can) to Huno since this took him lot of work to achieve this porting (which is even working on A1222).

It will also prove him that his work is appreciated.

And it will allow you to get the ENHANCED version (new tracks, those frome Wipeout 2097, new musics from Wipeout 2097 too, new graphics and so on...).

I'm getting a black screen? got my serial # from Huno via email and there's a txt file saying need to get the wipout NTSC version for PC?

Huno must have sent you a link to download the ENHANCED datas to install before launching the game. Otherwise, you will get a black screen.

Install the new datas using the installer
Enter the Serial sent by Huno in the interface

In the interface, many options will then be grayed out and you'll be able to select the Enhanced version amongst other things.

If everything fails, reinstall evrything since I think you messed up something in your installation :(

ok finally got it working & these are the steps that made it work for me:

1- download & install wipeout-RE Enhanced Fantomos Edition from HUNOPPC website

2- for X1000 owners download the Newlib executables and install into folder from item1.

3- install wipeout-data-VO1.zip file into wipeout folder

4- once you receive the download from HUNOPPC and he gives you a serial# use the installer script

I recreated the archives on OS4Depot with everything (included the newlib executables for X1000 and with the readme updated).

You HAVE to installe FIRST the two archives.

Then you can follow your guide.

The archives on OS4Depot are for the NORMAL version. If you want to have the Enhanced version, you have to mail HunoPPC with your little donat and you will receive new datas to be installed alongside the normal ones.

It was quite confusing & that's how I got mine working after deleting everything & starting from scratch...everyhting running fine on my X1000 now
