Usb problems[SOLVED]

When i try to copy mp3's from my amiga to my SE k810i the files don't work etc. Sometimes 1 file works. It has unfixed usb,how can i fix it, or are there other ways around the problem?

What did you create the mp3 files with? If they were created with pegase you can forget it, no mp3 players I've tried will play the legal mp3 layer3 format, only the licensed mp3 layer 3 format.

If the 'device' uses a fat filesystem try putting the files in a subdirectory.

There are also problems with crossdos that mess some things up like mp3 players and palm devices. Try using Fat95 instead.

You have AmigaOne *SE* (it's in your signature) so don't use USB at all.

I Don't know is this relative at all, but with my nokia phones have been problems with MP3 when +e flag wasn't set to mp3..

so check have those .mp3 files e flag set?
If not then use like shell "protect FILE.mp3 +e"
And try again..

This is an XE G4

I did manage to get a couple of songs working. Was encoded using secondspin on my a4000 many years ago. All the pictures and films from the phone i can copy to the hd and show and working but not with the mp3 files.

The +e flag did the work,now it's working like hell
Just the job to fill up the mem stick,got a new one sized 4gig.
