It IS in English (both French and English are supported) although there are French ads, everything else is in english (just check the link, it contains "lg=en").
Actually, the goal is to have an idea and know what is the actual OS4 market (it could help developpers to have an idea of how many copies of a software they could be able to produce/sell).
"What if you use OS4 on more than one platform? For instance I use it on an A1 and a CyberstormPPC."
Actually, this poll is not made to know how many machines can run AmigaOS 4 on the market but it is made overall to knwo HOW MANY potential users/buyers of OS 4 software there are around the world
By the way, I can read that someone has an AmigaOne G3, one G4, one Blizzard PPC and (soon) one Cyberstorm PPC. I'm sure this person is using one of this machine as a main computer, this is the one you can vote for
1) not everyone knows about/visits/care to read this site (Amigans) 2) not everyone knows about/visits/care to vote in that poll 3) NO ONE, especially not Amiga Inc. can kill the spirit
...they may try to break us, but the fire's in our hearts...
thanx for the consoling words. Well I really hope a lot of people fall in at least a single one of your cathegories.
@K-L
mmh...I'm not so sure anymore if it is helping if we know how much or few we are..whatever..
I really hope new hardware comes our ways..I'm really scared each time I turn on my A1.. the A4000 which I unfortunately sold, still works AFAIK but I shudder at the idea of not having at least one working OS4 machine!!
It's one of the simplest poll you can find, you click and that's all, nothing else to do.
"Only" 110 OS 4 users (I was told that 2500 AmigaOne were sold).
Anyway, let's imagine these 110 people give 5 or 10 Euros to, let's say Joerg for OWB, SFS and WarpOS Emu (amongst other things), it could bring him from 550 Euros to 1100 Euros.
This is the kind of thing that is motivating, isn't it?
Whoever told you that number, don't believe anything he or she tells you

Less about 65-90 Euro Paypal fees With Moneybookers it would only be about 7-13 Euro fees for your example, but nearly everyone is using Paypal ...

Sure, but if you want to write software and get donations for it you don't need to know how much AmigaOS4 users there are, just that AmigaOS4 users do send donations. Unlike AmigaOS 3.x users. I.e. don't bother creating AmigaOS 3.x ports as well, even if you have software with nearly as much AmigaOS 3.x users as AmigaOS4 users the proportion of donations from AmigaOS4 user : AmigaOS 3.x users is somewhere between 20 : 1 (SFS) and a division by zero error (OWB).
I guess it's the same for commercial software, which should answer you question if there is a market for AmigaOS4 software, at least for software which is or was available for AmigaOS 3.x already, even without knowing the number of AmigaOS4 users. Except for playing old games in UAE with AmigaOS 3.x the number of active AmigaOS4 users is higher than the number of active AmigaOS 3.x users since several years already. But since you shouldn't trust any stats you didn't fake yourself check for example the IBrowse 2.4(oem) usage on amiga-news.de: only 20% AmigaOS 3.9 users left, 40% are using AmigaOS4 and 40% MorphOS.
