A-EON Technology Can Attract People Through Facebook?

Just a suggestion. Would it help if A-EON Technology actually in addition introduced themselves and the new
AmigaOne X1000 through Facebook, to attract more
people to it? That could be an idea...

AmigaOS has its' own kind of public group or so at Facebook. What if A-EON and their X1000 have the same?

The more they introduce themselfs the more attraction ofcourse. But dont worry Helgis. As soon as they start to sell the HW the word of mouth and internet will start attracting :)

There are many ways to attract customers to buy a product. Facebook is one of them, but if A-EON wants to succeed, they must do as much marketing as possible with advertising, social groups, word of mouth, twisting arms, superior product, brand name recognition, quality service etc, etc...
If they focus only on one aspect they will not gain much, but if they focus on as much as their resources and budged allows it will be best.

A bigger question is whether OS4 is ready to attract random people from Facebook. IMHO we need to try to keep advertising target towards ex-Amigans, who should have some idea what to expect (and so won't be disappointed by the lack of Microsoft Word, the inability to play Doom 3, etc).

I agree that bigger attraction is needed. I'm sure everything will be just fine..

Maybe market it to mainstream amateur programmers or geeks in general as the ultimate platform for not only software programming, but also hardware programming. That way, there will not only be a lot of new software available, but also a lot more people to think of ideal uses for Xena. Just a thought.

Seems X1000 is not avail at the moment, OS is still being ported and testing is just starting. And no Linux for it.
Dont get dissapointed, everything will be alright by the end of year, and I am sure you will have it, but e.g. why not using the OS page to promote x1000 and vice versa?

FB is a bit laizy, boring and too many apps ... as well as slow and buggy

Only tons of people, especialy teen.
But people there do not care much (just like or ignore).

x1000 if not having money for big campaign, needs polished software, nice HW look and some nice dedicated sites. I am sure users will be best commercial, but I believe now software that would really make us of it is crucial.

Like one point of time we had software but no hardware,
no we have very nice hardware but not powerful enough software

But, this time next year ...
