AmigaOS 4 hardware MIPS
While MIPS tests are long time not considered to be real time use related, they indicate raw CPU power.

Wikipedia public info claims that
EP440 is about 1 000 MIPS

(would love to see how faster 460 would be)

If X1000 uses PowerEfficient (or similar chip) it will be 8 800 MIPS dual core + up to 500MIPS for XMOS chip.

It`s about Pentium 4 2Ghz class, with Power use lower then intelCoreDuo. It`s not top of the line, but is great potential.

Well, you could use http://www.os4depot.net/share/utility/shell/bogo.lzx

But it's not very accurate it seems.

Comments say, it doesn`t meassure real MIPS, BogoMIPS are based on a loop speed time. However, since there are very few benchmarks for OS4, and this one seems to be CPU related, would be nice to hear how many BogoMIPS have your G4 and so on

AppliedMicro's website says that both the 440ep and the 460ex offer ~2 DMIPS per MHz. So, that's about 1466 for a Sam440ep at 733MHz and roughly 2400 for the Sam460.

This won't reflect real usage, though, because the Sam460 also has much faster RAM and much more up-to-date graphics. People with more knowledge than me have estimated that the Sam460 should be between two to four times faster than a 440 at most general use tasks.

The MIPS numbers are interesting, though. They offer a rough insight into how potential future target processors might perform under AmigaOS. PA6T you've already mentioned, but other chips like the APM801xx or the QorIQ range from Freescale are also interesting, from both a price and performance point of view.
