I have an unusual idea and am looking for help. In my basement I have several older Power Macintosh and Macintosh computers with IDE hard drives, but all of them have some odd HW issue that prevents me from booting them. And I really want to recover some of the data on them, so, here's what I'm thinking of doing since it's nice and complicated and makes little practical sense:
1. Get a supported IDE card for my X5000, either PCI or PCE-e 2. Attaching one of the Macintosh drives 3. Using filesysbox to mount the HFS volumes
Is this even remotely possible? Can anyone recommend an IDE card for my X5000?
