And I don't just mean the lack of traffic on this site, it seems to be widespread throughout the Amiga Community.
This court case appears to have stuck the boot in to the Amiga platform. When OS4 was released for the Classic Amiga, I was expecting a boost in membership of AmigaOS4 users and in truth it did briefly appear to happen
However with the court case going on, it has all gone rather flat lately.
Personally I don't find myself checking this site first anymore. It used to be that I couldn't wait to log on to come here to see what was occuring, but now, it doesn't matter where I look, it has become rather dull on the Amiga platform now.
It seems that Amiga inc will not have to win their court case against Hyperion to kill the Amiga platform. Apathy has set in big time because of the protracted court case.
Personally, I would just close this site down altogether and forget about the whole thing. I am way beyond caring. I wish Hyperion would win, but its not at all certain they will.
Regardless, if Hyperion lose, then This site will close eventually, with Amiga inc getting their hands on AOS4, we are all dead in the water.
Am I wrong? Feedback welcome.

No cause is lost if there is but one fool left to fight for it.
Amigans went through troublesome years already, some drowned, some survived, some even joined the "sinking" boat...
anyway it will go on.
Hyperion owning the full rights of OS4 and the right to do whatever they would like to sounds like such a great perspective in the view of what they already did for the OS, but (and i don't say it will be like that) if they'll vanish from the scene, others will take over...
...there will always be Amiga if there are fans out there (maybe we need to go through a change once more, maybe this change will hurt - once more - but i believe we will still be there, no matter what happens)
The traffic is stalling because of some great things happening soon...
Mikey, never heard of the phrase "The silence before the storm"?
You already did something for your platform and you'll keep continuing doing...what makes you think someone or something can kill off the spirit that consists of yours and other additions to it?
Amiga is not a brand anymore (for a long time now). Amiga is a way of life, a way of thinking. Amiga is a dream and noone can kill your dreams
I'd like to dream about new machines I'd like to dream about new software I'd like to dream about new OS4 Updates I'd like to dream about users returning back to the platform I'd like to dream about helping to organise another WOASE show
But alas, they are all dreams and I can't see them happening.
Although, I do like your enthusiasm.

How about waiting until the Allegro port is finally released? There's supposed to be a whole series of games coming. Plenty of stuff to keep you entertained.
I'd also encourage anyone who's got OS4 but isn't a developer, to try learning to code. Writing software isn't for everyone, but you could at least try. To make it easy, buy Hollywood and Hollywood Designer and try using that to create something interactive. The stuff you make initially might suck, but will improve the more you work at it.
Hey! Come on! Eat one of those pills or grab a beer or something! Get in your good mood again! ;) We need you here.
Regarding Allegro, it might not be long now. I got a new beta last week that is close to being finished, my life has been very hectic the last weeks, I am moving etc. I miss my A1 a LOT, it's currently residing in a box! O_o
Hitman, if you see this, I got your mail (obviously) but I can't reach my mail now.

I am saving money for this. Btw. don't you know where can I download some projects created by Hollywood? I still cannot fully imagine what is this program capable of.

Do a search for hollywood on os4depot. Also look up the badger demo and Global Gladiators (on os4 depot). Finally, PEB has released a number of little utilities; you can find them here. There are other examples floating around out there, but I'm not sure where to find them.
I know that Andreas Falkenhahn doesn't release demos of his applications anymore because people cracked them in the past. However, I think that he should provide compiled versions of some Hollywood demos for different platforms that show off its capabilities. It's not like people can crack those to get a copy of Hollywood.
My A1 still works, so I guess I will stay with the Amiga for some more time. Dunno what to do when/if it breaks and no replacement has become available though.
Probably grow a bigger interest for AROS I think
Also interested in hearing more about Allegro, really looking forward to see that released (or to be more precise in what software it brings to my A1).
Keep the spirit alive, enjoy your Amiga, and remember it's just a hobby.
