New flame away forum

A new forum has been created called

Too Hot to handle

You can reach the forum directly using the "Too Hot to handle" link in the Main menu.

The intent of the forum is to move the more.. err.. less creative threads into it and spare normal business the frustration of people getting overly enthusiastic about certain issues.

The forum description sums it up:
"Rumours, The TRUTH, T-shirts and lawsuits, but all Amiga."

Moderation will happen in this new forum, to keep insults and such away, but less so than in the front page forums.

Hmmm . . .

Don't be downhearted Ken, This will not turn into another cross Amiga OS like portal, I can assure you of that.

But, it is important for us to air/discuss stuff that isn't comfortable. Otherwise we are just burying our heads in the sand.

As long as the high standard of moderation is maintained for the rest of the forums then fine. I just don't want to see amigans.net go the same way as other sites.

Unfortunately, Amiga Inc Vs Hyperion is very relevant to amigans.net, so new forum or not, it will be discussed. This way, at least people are spared from having it on the front page.

OS4 Vs MorphOS etc threads are still a no-no even in the new forum AFAIK.

It's not so much a case of relaxing moderation, the standards there will not change. The new forum allows new avenues to be discussed in a civilised manner, and the moderation will only apply to non relevant material.

Relevant topics currently include the Amiga vs Hyperion "thing", so feel free to disguss it to death and speculate until you are sick, but no skullduggery, horseplay, or general loutishness.
