OS4Depot.net (some thing thats missing)

I was thinking about some thing thats missing on OS4Dpeot...

We need gold stars for good software...

I don't know, a voting system for such a small community opens up a window for penalism/bullying. For example, there's been individuals with a grudge against the wookiechat author that has tried to post large amounts of bad comments on os4depot. Such people would just use a voting system to bully others. If the community was larger, such as the download.com one, then such abuse would have little effect on the larger outcome.

There would have to be some other system at play to rate software in our smaller community.

I've always favored having a small team of users writing OS4Depot software reviews. I would rather list the ratings made by such a group.

Could someone upload obviously missing files... well to be honest I can think of one right now. Epistula v52.20 (there is a catalog, but not the main archive).

I agree, also we have a few new developers who may get disuaded should some of their initial efforts be overlooked for download because of a poor or no star rating. Also sometimes it is just down to a matter of taste.
