As my Sound fx 4.3 and 4.0 from an backup did not work on my AmigaONE I downloaded the archives from sonicpulse.de again and tried to install.
During installation I get errors from the installer-script. I tried several things as delete a line from the script, different languages, novice, expert etc. but the script does not run and the installation is interrupted half the way. Has someone experienced the same behavour ?
How it works? ... no clue, still testing ... but it works
wow... is faaast!
I have SoundFX4.3 (Registered), and during one of the OS updates it no longer worked, and I couldn't find out why. So I never realy worked out how to use this program.
BUT...... after copying across the above from the Progdir: to sys: It runs again. I have just loaded an MP3 file, but I had to set the output to AHI instead of Amiga14bit, to get it to play. Then playing around with some of the icons/options I (think I) cut the mp3 and it just played the cut part of the mp3. WOW.
I'll really have to look up some tutorials for this prog if they are available,
4.3 can be installed by minor tweaking the installer script (see below) and manual copying the 3 libs from data archive into libs: . I used the archives found on http://www.sonicpulse.de/eng/p_sfx_download.html). However, sfxsupport.library throws a dsi (didn't find any side-effect, but still). 4.0 works fine after manual copy described in this thread.

Oh, I think I'm using an older build than the one on the website: SoundFX 4.3.91 (31/03/2005) 16bit/64bit for 68020/FPU ? 1993-2004 by Stefan Kost
That's more likely to be the cause. It's only a month off so I don't know what the differences are. I suspect I got it directly from Stefan for testing purposes.
i didn't anything but using the already installed SFX (shared between AmigaOS3.9 and MOS for PowerUP) and copying the above mentioned component that btw, are always been in SYS: and NOT in PROGDIR:Libs (but sfxsupport)

btw ... just noticed thats the 060 version ... great!

@Framiga Early OS4 documentation stated that the OS4 68k emulator does not support 060 binaries and recommended the use of plain 020 versions of 68k software. I'm not sure if that's still true, but I would play it safe and use the 020 version.
I copied the files and did start the programma from ram:sfx directory: but I get a workbench requester with "retry - try different tool - cancel".
Forgot to mention: add the "e" protection bit to the file.

I'm using the OS4 version of showtip, don't know whether that's the cause of your DSI.

Is this the listing of yours or you have earlier ones? The site provides exactly the ones you listed. I have the same (tried different cpu distributions, same result). I the problem is triggered by usage of libmad verison of mpega library? The dsi occurs at the end of loading of mp3 file. Uncompressed samples work fine.
Thanks, Jack
