Not enough data ( multiview )

Anyone know what causes this when trying to load a guide? I've converted the security FAQ to an AmigaGuide document and every time I try to launch it I get this error.

Maybe the file is broken? Do other amigaguide documents work? If so, can you put the file up somewhere so we can have a look at it?

I think you are right, the file is broken somehow, other guides work! Please note that as the contributers have not agreed to the copyright clause that putting this up here is a risk and I apologise to them in advance, my original plan was to send it round to each contributer first to get edit suggestions and approval. I'll remove this as soon as I get feedback on what the bug is - I wouldn't do this if I wasn't desperate!

I'm at work atm so I can't check it but maybe the main node is case sensetive and has to be 'Main' instead of 'MAIN' ? I recommend you to strip it down to a very simple, basic guide file, perhaps using this as a template: http://www.tgpd.fsnet.co.uk/tutorials ... /beginners/Amigaguide.htm
Then add stuff to it and try it occasionally to ensure that it still works.

Try to load and save the document using Heddley.

Thanks for your help, now I think I'll continue using heddley although it makes me think of the Mel Brookes movie Blazing Saddles for some reason.

Also you can use CheckGuide or GuideCheck depends if you have access to official DevCD 2.1 or not to check the consistency of your guide file.
Then I can advise you to use the (very) good CubicIDE that also provides an AmigaGuide Mode (including guide validation)...

Every time I edit it in golded and save it the error Not enough data returns.

So I think I'll try out one of these other editors.

That's strange : not earlier than this week-end I updated the FTPMount guide with CubicIDE and experienced no problem at all !!
Can you see what is the difference between the working file and the other ?
In CubicIDE you can validate the guide : what is the result of this validation ?
If CubicIDE produces bad guide files I think you should try to get in contact with the author (Dietmar Eilert, see contact infos at http://www.developers.2go.cc/contact.html)
If you want you can email me the file to see if I can produce the same error with my CubicIDE setup.

EDIT: typo
EDIT2: on OS4 to see graphically what are the differences between the two files you can use AMUIDiff, see http://abalaban.free.fr/index_amiga_projets.html (just some auto-promotion
